Holiday Sharing Tree

Providing gifts during the Holiday Season to those in need since 1985. 
The Holiday Sharing Tree serves Blue Earth and Nicollet Counties.

We are sorry but the sign-up period for the 2022 HST has ended, the deadline has passed to become a recipient this season. Information regarding Toys for Tots is available at www.Mankato-MN.ToysForTots.org. The Toys for Tots hotline number is 507-514-7131.

If you are a recipient, drive-thru Distribution was yesterday, Wed, Dec 14th from 1-6pm. For recipients in Blue Earth Co, and Nicollet co. However, for Blue Earth co recipients only…due to a mis print in the confirmation letter, Blue Earth Co recipients only may go to the Mankato Armory on Thursday, Dec 15th from 1-5pm for pick up.

Recipients:

The Salvation Army is not receiving any Holiday Sharing Tree applications this year.
Holiday Sharing Tree Recipient sign up will be different than in previous years. This season, recipients who live in Nicollet Co. or North Mankato will still sign up through the Nicollet Co Social Services office. Recipients who live in Blue Earth Co. will NOT sign up with a BECo social worker or BECo office. Letters will be sent out starting Oct 5th from BECo to pre-approved recpeints who will then sign up using an on-line form. Information regarding sign up will be in this letter. A reminder, the SA is not doing any HST sign ups this season and the HST cannot accept recipients on the hot line or HST website

Nicollet County Social Services will continue to receive applications for Nicollet County, including North Mankato.

ALL gifts will now be in the form of gift cards. Tree sites will not be able to receive packages, so we ask that all donations be in the form of a gift card again this year.
They will be printed on envelopes so the gift cards can be placed inside and easily returned.

2022 Important Dates:

November

Wednesday, November 16 Project Kick-Off at HyVee on Riverfront Drive at 10:00 a.m
- Giving cards will be available at Tree site locations starting Wednesday, November 16. Both Hy-Vee locations in Mankato, River Hills Mall, Fleet Farm. In St. Peter: Hy-Vee, North Mankato Taylor Library, Nutter Clothing and First National Bank.

December

Sunday, December 11 All gift cards must be returned to a tree site by 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, December 14

Blue Earth County recipients:

Distribution of will be from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Mankato Armory

Nicollet County recipients:

Distribution will be from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Nicollet County Health and Human Services Building (622 S.Front Street, St Peter)

Thursday, December 15 Make up date if severe weather on the 14th

Gifts not picked up on December 14th may be redistributed.
